This tutorial is for my original design for small cabochons, The Mini Wire Helix Pendant. This is a 41-page tutorial with 111 detailed steps and over 100 color photos. You will learn to make a small pendant frame, accented with a Wire Helix, Coils, and a small, strong Bail.
Tutorial Level: Intermediate to Advanced
You should have prior experience with fine wire, bending, shaping, and the use of jewelry tools. This tutorial is meant not only to teach new skills, but to enhance skills you may already have, and to give you the working knowledge to use this tutorial as a step off point to help you develop new designs of your own.
Material List:
21-Gauge Dead Soft wire
30-Gauge Dead Soft wire
Small oval cabochon (16mm x 12mm)
Tool List:
Needle Nose Pliers
Flat Nose Pliers (Narrow Flat Nose, optional), or
Chain Nose Pliers
Nylon-Jaw Pliers
Ring Clamp, Tape, or other Clamp to hold wires
Sharpie Marker
