Super flashy both sides, twinned, high polish all around, rounded flat sides, flat back. Nice thick stone w/low dome.
Can only be found in one place on earth, Ylämaa spectrolite quarries, Ylämaa area, Lappeenranta, South Karelia, Finland, and is the most beautiful of all the Labradorites, due to it´s unique and largest range of colors. Spectrolite was found in 1941 when the Finnish people were building a defense line on the eastern border. The mining of the gemstone in started on a small scale, increasing the 50s.
Do not use ultrasonic cleaners and avoid harsh chemicals. Spectrolite is a 6 - 6 ½ on the Mohs scale. It is seldom treated but may occasionally be oiled.
